“Entourage” creator and executive producer Doug Ellin, commenting on a medical marijuana plotline in the show’s last episode, said that while he doesn’t smoke pot, he thinks it should be legalized.
In last night’s “Dream Team” installment of the HBO series, character Johnny Drama joins a medical marijuana club so he can burnish his image with young fans by scoring one of the establishment’s caps.
The show’s take on the phenomena turns into a send-up of medical marijuana clubs.
“One of our executive producers was scared we would blow the lid off the medical marijuana facilities in L.A. and they’d shut them all down and everyone would want to kill us,” Mr. Ellin said in an interview with TelevisionWeek Editor Greg Baumann.
Mr. Ellin also talked about art imitating life as the episode involves a leaked trailer for “Medellin” ending up on YouTube, and how the trailer actually ended up on YouTube after the episode aired.
“I’m not sure how the trailer got on, but it’s pretty cool,” Mr. Ellin said.

Nice interview Greg.
I'd like to point out a few things.
First off, what happened to the rest of the phone call? It cuts off right in the middle of your question about Ari and Lloyd!
It would be great to see the guys down in Cancun as well as New York pursuing different storylines.
I think the HBO marketing people really dropped the ball as the videos on YouTube were actually uploaded by fans and the website only went "live" about 20 minutes before the show aired.
I think it was a missed opportunity as there was virtually no promotion that the trailer would air and that the trailer should have already been on YouTube when the show aired.
Sorry, my OCD kicked in.
Anyway, the show has been firing on all cylinders this 4th season, great job to Doug.
Keep up the awesome interviews and if that missing part can be re-uploaded that would be great!
Thanks!!

Entourage keeps getting better and better. This is the best season yet. I'm not "Bugging Out" when I type this either. Love the show and it is one of my few appointment tv viewing. Thanks for great story lines, and the guest cameos.

I really love entourage on so many levels. Thanks for sharing those characters with us all, I don't know who I love most!!! Eric, Vince, Turtle, Ari, Drama, and even Lloyd. And the story lines for woman are true to life and it's great reality on tv... remember those days!

The Medical Marijuana Issue is a little too hot right now to play it off like an "L.A. Thing". I think Entourage was a bit too oblivious to the obvious crimes that Drama was committing. First, he should not have given Marijuana to his cast members at their request. Second, all dispensaries have a strict patient policy requiring registration. You cannot just walk in and flash a card. Third and most painfully, they painted doctors who recommend medical marijuana as morons. They will not go through a checklist of bogus diagnosis with a patient.
Please arrest Drama in an upcoming episode.
Thank you.

Please stop smoking in episodes of Entourage, instead please have the cast using vaporizors which are more common for upscale L.A. medicating. I suggest the Volcano which has been in all of the latest CNN coverage on Medical Marijuana. (When you see someone pulling vapor/smoke from a plastic medicine bag)
Also, if you ever have them using a hookah, PLEASE have them using charcol to keep the hookah rolling as anyone who really knows anything about a hookah would. Not a lighter down the hookah (which poisons the user with butane) as was stupidly shown on the show Weeds in season 1.

Taking the guys out of their element (LA) would definitely be a great idea, it will help develop the characters further. Vince,Eric,Turtle, Ari, Drama, and even Lloyd if any of you would like a free hookah go to HookahTown.com. As for Hookahs you can find out loads of info at www.hookahtown.com. Use coupon code Entourage for an extra %10 off for all Entourage fans.
So when Medellin hits it big, will the guys make any money?
