Online video will become a mass-market business next year, when more than 50 percent of the U.S. population will watch Internet video, market research firm eMarketer predicted in a new report issued today. That equates to 155 million people.
Also, eMarketer said the growth rate for online video—already at 89 percent this year—will remain near or above 40 percent through 2011. At that point, online video ad spending will reach $4.3 billion.
