Where: Pacific Design Center, West Hollywood
When: Friday, Sept. 14
Entertainment: Guests enjoyed the exotic and soothing sounds of Latin guitar instrumental group Espino.
Decor: The casual yet chic lounge setting was designed and produced by Sequoia Productions. Timothy Corrigan of Timothy Corrigan Inc. created the Mont Blanc Lounge, which showcased jewelry and watches.
Food and drink: Wolfgang Puck and his team of chefs offered an endless supply of chilled lobster tails, shrimp, oysters and crab claws. Hors d’oeuvres included spicy tuna tartar in sesame seed cones, tempura shrimp with wasabi glaze, miniature crab cakes and assorted Wolfgang Puck signature pizzas. Partygoers dined on garlic crushed potatoes, sweet corn ravioli with truffle oil, chef-carved double-cut New York strip and Sonoma rack of lamb.
For chocolate lovers, Dove desserts included malted milk cream bars with toasted almond and rice shortbread and bite-size samosas with Dove Dark Chocolate with Dove Caramel.
Highlights: ATAS Chairman Dick Askin handed out certificates of achievement to nominees in attendance, including Mariska Hargitay, Sandra Oh, Jon Cryer, Conchata Ferrell, Holland Taylor, Judith Light, Denis Leary, August Schellenberg, Lorraine Bracco, Masi Oka and Chandra Wilson.
Others on hand to congratulate the nominees included Sony Pictures Television’s Steve Mosko and producers Neal Baer and Dick Wolf.
