• 'Sopranos' Only Sure Thing Among Night of Emmy Surprises

Who: Entertainment Tonight and People magazine

Where: Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles

Entertainment: Who knew Hollywood talent agents knew so many Duran Duran lyrics? The new wave band played its hits for an intimate but appreciative crowd. On the upstairs patio was a Maybelline/Garnier beauty bar where guests could stock up on products before receiving the enviable ET gift bag stuffed with goodies (you don’t want to know).

Decor: Spacious. After last year’s packed affair at the Mondrian Hotel prompted the fire marshal to shut down the event, the ET/People organizers wisely choose to relocate to the sprawling Disney Hall location (and seemingly utilize every nook except the actual theater, which is too vast even for an Emmy party).

Food: Scallop burgers, beef short ribs, cedar-planked salmon and a Godiva bar featuring strawberries, brownies and marshmallows covered in chocolate.

Highlights: Jeremy Piven and Masi Oka dancing to “The Reflex,” while cast members from “The Office” and NBC Entertainment Co-Chair Ben Silverman hung back and mingled.
