‘Insider’ Debuts Weekly Segment Based on Ask.com Searches

Search engine Ask.com struck a deal with syndicated show “The Insider” to integrate its search results into a weekly on-air segment on the show starting today.

“Insider” host Pat O’Brien will do a segment on top three celebrity-related searches on Ask.com. “Insider” will run the segment every Friday.

Ask.com said it hopes to drive usage of Ask.com via the deal. According to audience measurement firm Hitwise, Ask.com’s share of the U.S. search market for the four weeks ending Sept. 29 was about 4 percent.
