ON Networks, SXSW to Host 'Greenlight Awards'

New-media production shop ON Networks has partnered with the South by Southwest Film Conference & Festival to find the next big online television show in a contest called “Greenlight Awards.”

Submissions for original digital series will be reviewed from December through Feb. 15. The award will be presented at SXSW in March. The winner will receive $10,000 and a distribution deal from ON Networks.

“Episodic content for mobile and Web technology is the future for many independent filmmakers and creative artists,” SXSW Film Festival Producer Matt Dentler said in a statement.
