Food Net Series Cooks Up BBQ Tips
A couple of Tennessee barbecue experts are warming up for a new show on the Food Network.
Pat and Gina Neely, who own and operate their own restaurants, will be hosts of a series called “Down Home With the Neelys.” The half-hour daytime series is set to premiere Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m.
The show is designed to take a peek into the lives as well as the kitchen of the South’s most fun-loving cooking couple, the network said.
“Pat and Gina Neely bring an energetic joy to cooking and a high-spirited playfulness to their relationship. Their kitchen is one of the most fun that I’ve ever been in,” said Bob Tuschman, senior VP for programming and production at Food Network. “Our viewers will also love that their delicious down-home recipes are super-easy to re-create at home.”
As co-owners of Neely’s Bar-B-Que, the Neelys have turned their family restaurant into one of the most successful barbecue restaurants in the South. They have appeared on national television with Al Roker, Bobby Flay, Paula Deen, “Today” and “Good Morning America.”
Pat and Gina Neely serve delicious barbecue fare to customers across several locations. But when they are relaxing at home in Memphis, they love to create tasty dishes that their whole family can enjoy.
On “Down Home With the Neelys,” they will share their most requested restaurant dishes and their tastiest family-friendly recipes with Food Network viewers.
Mr. Neely and his brothers launched the first restaurant in 1988, and the family now has two locations in Memphis, one in Nashville and several concessions in the Memphis FedEx Forum.
High school sweethearts in the 1980s, Gina and Pat reunited at their 10-year high school reunion. They married in 1994 and have two daughters.

Thought your show was great! I try to smoke ribs and pork butt anytime I can and my family and friends seem to enjoy it. Espically my son who is in the Marine Corps, you can bet I'll be up early when he's home just to cook it for him and whoever he brings home. I'll be in Nashville in April and can't wait to stop by your place for a meal. Hope you all the best with your show and by what I read your resturants speak you themselves.

I wanted to let you all know that I am very proud to see an African-American couple with their own show on the Food Network. You 2 defintely bring a smile to my face as I see the positiveness and dedication that is brought forth, working as a family team. I'm a Chicagoan so I'm defintely going to try to make to Memphis to experience the Neely's BBQ. The Neely family is truly BLESSED! Keep up the GREAT work!

Just wanted to tell you how much my husband and I loved your show. And that we made the BBQ sauce and it's soooo gooood!!! We used it with a pork tenderloin and it was outstanding. The only thing I missed was making the frozen lemonade pie.
Are you ever going to give out that recipe again?
We are coming to Nashville in March and we will be stopping in to have your BBQ!!!

Gina and Pat,
You are two(2)jewels! I set my alarm every

Great! FoodTV Finally found someone more annoying then Rachel Ray. Someone tell Gina to shut the heck up and let Pat talk. Pat has something of substance to say usually.....she can't compete with his stories or his classy ways and that's why she makes fun of him every time he gets 2 seconds of talk in. I don't see the love that alot of others do in this show. I see a pushy woman making her husband look like a fool.
Ima Tell u somethin
I see Susan is a hater. Mrs. Gina can do what eva she wants darlin. Its her show. And she is not making a fool of husband. Unlike you makin a fool of yo self. You besta reconize. And get yo self a life and if you don't like her quit watchin da damn show.

The more I watch the better you get. At first I thought you're trying to hard but now you've hit your stride. I have the DVR set to record every show. I'm from the Nashville area but have been transplanted in the St. Louis area and I love southern cooking, especially Bar B-Q. Keep it up ya'll, you're doing a great job!
