CBS Sports is working with cable operators including Comcast to provide high-definition highlights of NCAA college basketball tournament games on demand.
CBS Sports and CBS College Sports Network will produce customized highlights of 63 tournament games beginning with the first-round games on March 20.
The highlights, along with historical March Madness vignettes, will be available free to video-on-demand subscribers. CBS had made deals with Comcast and Bresnan Communications so far.
“Video-on-demand and high-definition content are top priorities for MSOs,” said Tony Petitti, executive VP and executive producer, CBS Sports.
“CBS College Sports Network and CBS Sports are delivering exclusive, compelling programming that has never been available before, as well as leading the way in serving fans with more options, access and control,” Mr. Petitti added. “We’re thrilled operators are taking advantage of the opportunity to provide their customers with the coverage they crave for the NCAA tournament.”
