Canal Plus Puts Disney Product on VOD, PPV
Disney-ABC Television and French pay TV platform Canal Plus are partnering to bring film and series content to video-on-demand and pay-per-view programming.
The multiyear agreement brings film content from Walt Disney Pictures, Disney/Pixar, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films to Canal Plus, including titles “Enchantment” and “There Will Be Blood.”
The deal also includes new and syndicated episodes of the ABC series “Desperate Housewives.”
“We are delighted to be building on our longstanding relationship with Canal Plus,” said Disney-ABC International Senior VP Catherine Powell in a statement. “This agreement will bring new content from our unique, schedule-driving programming portfolio to viewers, for them to enjoy how and when they wish, across TV and new-media windows.”
