“Friday Night Smackdown” drop-kicks onto the MyNetwork schedule on Friday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m.
The two-hour show is making its move from The CW, which has had the program in some form since its UPN days in 1999.
MyNet is hyping the network premiere with a Wrestlemania XXIV special on Thursday, Oct. 2, showing highlights of the April pay-per-view event. The Wrestlemania highlights show is a first for a broadcast network, MyNet said.
Set in Orlando, Wrestlemania XXIV featured a fight between The Big Show and professional boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather, along with appearances from Snoop Dogg and John Legend.

August 26, 1999 has always had a special place in my heart, not to mention it was the night Smackdown debuted.
I'm excited to see it return to WRBW here in Orlando.

This is why I liked SD! on the FOX affiliate networks like UPN and now MyNetworkTV b/c they are willing to air WWE specials on different nights instead of Fridays every week.
I wish they could've aired an hour of Smackdown! on that Thursday for a premiere.

Thursday night can be an OPTION for SmackDown! but it will be GREAT RISK especially when CSI and Grey's are around.

Exactly when will "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!" end its run on The CW? The last report said that it would end its run on Friday, September 12th, but I need an accurate date. OK? So please let me know right away. It's very important.
