The Style Network will debut reality series “Ruby,” following the life of an obese woman in a “regular-sized” world, this fall.

Title-personality Ruby Gettinger is a 500-pound woman from Savannah, Ga. The series will follow her as she tries to make a change in her life and drop much of that weight. She will work with a team of experts in health and nutrition, along with family and friends, as she tries to become healthier.

“Style’s programming is centered on engaging personalities and inspirational stories that are relatable to real women,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, executive vice president for Style. “We believe that Style’s female audience will connect with her emotional journey and everyday challenges as she faces this critical crossroads.”

“Ruby” will be produced by Gay Rosenthal Productions (“Little People, Big World”).
