Fox programming and scheduling chief Preston Beckman says the 2008 ratings race will be a tight four-way struggle among the networks, a departure from his past predictions of victory for Fox.
In a conversation with TelevisionWeek’s Josef Adalian, Mr. Beckman said the network is launching its new fall shows earlier than usual to avoid a surge of fresh programming from competitors.
