The Onion News Network, “Hometown Baghdad” and “You Suck at Photoshop” cleaned up in the 12th annual Webby Awards competition, which honors excellence on the Web.

The winners were announced today in several categories and will be honored at a gala event June 9 in New York.

The Onion News Network won both a Webby and a Webby People’s Voice Award in the comedy category for its “Country Music Stars Challenge Al-Qaeda With Patriotic New Song ‘Bomb New York’.”

My Damn Channel’s “You Suck at Photoshop” also took home both a Webby Award and a Webby People’s Voice Award for the how-to and DIY category.

The Onion News Network picked up both awards in the writing category.

In the viral video category, the Webby went to “Here Comes Another Bubble”, a spoof of the next dot-com bust, while Tay Zonday’s “Chocolate Rain” was the people’s choice.

Established media brands including National Geographic, Discovery and G4 also won Webby awards.
