Williams to Host TV Land Awards

Vanessa Williams will host the sixth TV Land Awards, the cable channel’s annual ceremony honoring achievements in classic television.

The singer and “Ugly Betty” star is set to headline the June 8 event, with honorees set to include Mike Myers, Garry Marshall and Jonathan Winters. The awards ceremony will air on TV Land on June 15 at 9 p.m.

“We are thrilled to have Vanessa Williams as the host of this year’s TV Land Awards,” TV Land President Larry W. Jones said in a statement Thursday. “Her amazing talent has earned her international recognition, and her charm and energy are sure to resonate with TV Land’s audience.”
