Xbox Live Users Can Download G4 Content
G4, the entertainment and lifestyle cable network aimed at young men, is offering some of its original content for download through Xbox Live, the online component of Microsoft’s Xbox 360. The deal marks the first time G4 has released its content for distribution through a gaming console.
Programming available immediately includes snowboarding reality show “The Block,” tech and gaming pop-culture news program “Attack of the Show” and animated series “Code Monkeys.” Each episode costs $1.99.
“G4 is one of the industry leaders for gaming and entertainment content, and we are thrilled to offer its shows on the Xbox Live Video Store,” said Ross Honey, Microsoft senior director of the media and entertainment group.
The network is aimed mostly at men ages 18-34.
“G4 is a natural fit to be part of the Xbox Live community,” G4 President Neal Tiles said. “This partnership underscores G4’s commitment to bringing relevant and authentic content to young guys in more ways than ever before.”
