Online video distribution shop 60Frames has inked a deal with comic book publisher Oni Press to create both a Web series and digest-sized comics.

The Web series, due to launch in 2009, will be based on upcoming and library titles from Oni Press.

The first projects being developed through the partnership are "Ark" and "Men With Guns: Assassin."

"Ark," a sci-fi series featuring a mix of live-action and CGI, is created by Robbie Thompson and developed by "90210" executive producers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah.

"Men With Guns" was created by "Oz" and "Homicide" writer-producer Tom Fontana. The drama originated from Fontana's pilot script but was repurposed as a Web and comic book series.
