Recent Emmy winner Tom Forman was appointed CEO of Relativity Media’s newly launched reality and alternative television arm.
Mr. Forman, who garnered acclaim and statuettes for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and the nonfiction special “9/11,” comes off a two-year stint at CBS Paramount. There, he created and executive produced “Kid Nation,” among other alternative programs, after a decade spent producing prime-time news for the broadcast network.
He will be the inaugural CEO at Relativity Real, where he will run day-to-day affairs and executive produce its reality projects.
“Under Tom’s leadership we expect to break the current barriers of reality TV and establish a new paradigm,” Relativity principal Ryan Kavanaugh said in a statement Tuesday. “Our goal is ultimately to be a major supplier of high-quality and commercial content to the domestic and international marketplace.”
Mr. Forman is represented by UTA.
