Turner Broadcasting has replaced the heads of advertising and licensing at Cartoon Network.
“Departing the company to pursue other interests” are Beth Goss, executive VP of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim sales, marketing and enterprises; John Friend, senior VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises; and Phyllis Erlich, senior VP of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim ad sales, marketing and promotions. The news came from David Levy, Turner’s president of ad sales, in an internal memo sent out Tuesday.
John O’Hara was named executive VP for ad sales at Cartoon Network and its Adult Swim block. He had been senior VP and general sales manager for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim ad sales.
Christina Miller will be taking on added responsibility as VP of consumer products for Cartoon Network Enterprises. She had been a VP at Cartoon Network Enterprises.
Both executives will report to Mr. Levy and to Stu Snyder, president-chief operating officer of Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media, who oversees Cartoon Network and Adult Swim.
“Because of the rapidly expanded dynamics of the marketplace and changes happening within the industry, including our own networks, it has become necessary for us to consolidate our resources to maximize and build upon our success,” Mr. Levy said in his memo.
