LATV Video: CBS’ Leess Books Digital Ad Deals

Jonathan Leess, president and general manager of CBS Television Stations' Digital Media Group, says an advertising shift is occurring that has digital marketers and agencies buying packages where TV time is seen as a value-added component, rather than vice versa.

“There is sizable money on the digital side shifting over because we’re not just selling banners,” he said in an exclusive video interview with TVWeek’s Daisy Whitney. “Now we have very big six-figure packages … coming in every day and every week.”

Mr. Leess cited a recent deal his group did with American Express and Digitas that covered six markets.

He said he expects his network of sites to quadruple its audience in two years.
