Lifetime Re-enlists ‘Army Wives’ for Season Three

Lifetime CEO Andrea Wong said the cable network’s hit series “Army Wives” will be coming back for third season.

The third season of the series will be comprised of 18 episodes and kicks off in 2009.

Now in the middle of its second year, “Army Wives” is the No. 1 cable show in Lifetime’s key demographics of women 25 to 54 and women 18 to 49.

“Since premiering last year, ‘Army Wives’ has become a game-changer for Lifetime. Announcing this early renewal is a testament to the enormous faith and confidence we have in this show and its incredibly talented cast and production team,” Ms. Wong said. “‘Army Wives’ exemplifies what Lifetime is all about—friendship, compassion, humor and heart. We are very proud of both its water cooler resonance and its success.”

I am 57 and love the show! Everyone knows where I will be on Sunday night at 9 o'clock...I get the big screen TV for the show (HA!) I have my husband watching it too! Kind of reminds me of my college days where we all planned our schedules in order to watch "All My Children". Love it! Keep up the excellent writing and choice of actors. (Roxie is so cute and her husband is one handsome young man). I sure enjoy those characters!

Sharon Berger:

Last night I watched Army Wives and I noticed that the American Flag patch on their uniforms was incorrect. I always understood that the Stars on the American Flag are always on the upper left. Last night every patch of the American Flag had the stars on the patch on the upper right hand side.

How do I get in touch with the producers of Army Wives to have this horrific error corrected if this is in fact an error.

Rebecca Harding:

I am 26 The first season of army wives has just finished in the uk and i couldn't wait to see what happened so thatnk to you tube i have just found out and i have to admit i cried lots.
I love the show please keep the seasons coming as the t.v in the uk leaves alot to be desired and it also gives me chance to get the remote of my husband for an hour!

Christina:

Actually, "The regulation states that when authorized for application to the proper uniform the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag’s own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer’s right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the ‘reverse side flag’.”

The American Flag on their uniforms is correct. That's how it is in the Army, but you are right about the stars typically being on the left.
