NBC Gets 'Lost' With Wolf, Levinson

NBC is developing a new project from "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf.

The network has given a cast-contingent pilot order to "Lost and Found," a drama about a slightly quirky female homicide detective who uses outside-the-box techniques to identify John and Jane Does—and then solve their murders.

Chris Levinson, who has collaborated with Mr. Wolf in the past, will write the pilot script. She also will serve as executive producer, along with Mr. Wolf, Nena Rodrigue and Peter Jankowski.

Universal Media Studios and Wolf Films are producing "Lost and Found."

Ms. Levinson and Mr. Wolf worked together in 2006 on "The Circus," an NBC script about a town impacted by a major trial. Ms. Levinson also has been on staff at "Law & Order" and the short-lived series "Trial by Jury."

UMS signed a two-year overall deal with Ms. Levinson last spring.
