Salt Lake City’s KCSG Becomes MyNet Affil

MyNetworkTV has added an affiliate in Salt Lake City, serving much of Utah.

Southwest Media-owned KCSG-TV will become known as MyKCSGTV on Aug. 18, when it begins carrying MyNetworkTV’s lineup of 12 prime-time hours.

“KCSG is excited about the opportunity to be affiliated with MyNetworkTV. Being with a major network enhances our programming with target demos we have not had before,” Ray Hardy, the station’s general manager, said in Monday’s announcement.

Paul Franklin, executive VP of MyNetworkTV, said, “We are excited to partner with KCSG-TV to bring MyNetworkTV programming to Utah. The station’s local programming has helped them build an excellent relationship with their community and will serve as a great platform for our weekly prime-time lineup.”

UT Res:

KCSG is in CEDAR City, not SALT LAKE City. The two are hundreds of miles apart, and KCSG covers a very small part of the state.

MyNet has had an affiliation with KJZZ-TV since it launched, where it currently runs in the middle of the night.

Whomever was supposed to check the story failed.
