“Weekend at Bernie’s” (HBO). Mon., Aug. 4, 7:50 p.m. Death takes a holiday, literally, as Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman star in the 1989 comedy about two employees’ grisly-turned-bizarre visit to their boss’s beachfront home. Yes, there was a sequel.
