The syndicated preview run for “The Wendy Williams Show” debuted Monday to solid numbers, placing first in its key demographics in New York.
The talk show, from Debmar-Mercury, is having a six-week preview run on Fox stations.
The show, which aired on New York’s WNYW, topped the ratings during the 10 a.m. hour among female viewers ages 18-34 (2.9/19), 18-49 (2.1/14) and 25-54 (1.9/13).
“Wendy Williams” also had a strong showing on Los Angeles’ KTTV, landing in second place for the 1 p.m. hour with a 0.8 rating/2 share. The show came in second among women 18-49 (0.7/4) and women 25-54 (0.4/3).
In its Dallas premiere, the show raked in a 1.2 rating/4 share.
“The Wendy Williams Show” had its strongest showing in New York, where Ms. Williams hosts a nationally syndicated radio show.
In New York, the show’s household ratings were up 600% over its lead-in and 250% from the performance of “Montel” in the time slot for the May 2008 sweep. Its women 18-34 ratings improved 850% from the lead-in and 533% from “Montel” in May 2008.

Honestly I am not impressed with Wendy or her show. It just doesnt seem relaxed, she is trying WAYYYYYYYY to hard. Which brings me too---is she really a she? Or a he that has had surgery........... Her hands are bigger than my mans.

AMOROSA was one of the guest that was featured today and she acted like a fool. She was promoting her book THE BITCH SWITCH, well all I can say is people always write about what they know. Wendy tried her best to rise above the nonsense and I was very proud of her. I love the show and will continue to watch it.

I love Wendy on TV. She is getting better and better everyday. The start of week two is proving that Wendy can conquer both radio and Tv. one thing though, Wendy needs to do more listening to her quests and less talking. Over all she is getting more comfortable on the screen. Hope you will be picked up after your six weeks run. Good luck.
