MGM Studios staffers have evacuated their Century City offices following a bomb threat.
The MGM Tower in Century City is home to MGM Studios and talent agency ICM.
An MGM Studios representative said, via e-mail, "Per the building management we've evacuated the building."
ICM staffers also evacuated the building, according to an answering service operator who answered an ICM phone at around 1:20 p.m. She did not know when staffers would return to the office.
Defamer and CurbedLA posted a copy of an e-mail from building management citing the threat and suggesting that tenants evacuate. The bomb was supposed to detonate at noon, according to the e-mail, which also said the threat could not be verified.
The Los Angeles Police Dept. said it was unaware of any threat, Curbed reported.
A receptionist at the building said she was not authorized to discuss the matter. The fact that the receptionist was still in the building at about noon, however, indicated that building management were not overly concerned about the possible threat.
(1:25 p.m.: Updated throughout, added ICM evacuation)
