WPIX Renews New York Mets Rights

WPIX-TV (CW 11) has renewed its multi-year contract for the rights to broadcast the New York Mets through 2011.

WPIX will air 25 Mets games each season for three years, with both home and away games available in HD. All of the games will be produced by SNY.

The station has won three Emmy Awards for its live sports coverage of Mets baseball since becoming the home of the Mets in 1999.
