CNN's Hill to Co-Anchor CBS' 'Early Show' on Saturdays

After a six-week tryout, Erica Hill has won the co-anchor chair next to Chris Wragge on the Saturday edition of “The Early Show” on CBS, effective immediately.

Ms. Hill follows in the footsteps of Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta, who also work full-time for CNN while contributing to CBS News programs. Ms. Hill is a CNN anchor and correspondent for “Anderson Cooper 360.”

“Erica brings a tremendous amount of energy and passion, as well as live television and reporting experience, to ‘The Early Show,’” CBS News and Sports President Sean McManus said in Monday’s announcement. “She has done a great job filling in on Saturdays with Chris and we’re very excited about this new team.”

Ms. Hill joined CNN Headline News in 2003 as an anchor on the network’s daily shows, becoming co-anchor of “Prime News Tonight” in 2005. A year later, she became the anchor of “Prime News With Erica Hill,” a live two-hour interview and news program on CNN Headline News.

While they mader a change on the Saturday morning program they can't seem to fix the MON-FRI Early Show problem which has been going on for years. IT'S TIME THAT MOONVES TOOK CARE OF THE BIG PROBLEM.
