Web Series ‘The Guild’ Lands Microsoft, Sprint as Sponsors
Popular original Web series “The Guild” landed a sponsorship deal for its second season with Microsoft and Sprint, the show’s creator and star Felicia Day announced today.
The second season of the award-winning Web show will be sponsored by Sprint and released on Xbox Live, MSN Video and Zune Marketplace starting Tuesday. A new episode will debut each week, and they will be available subtitled in eight languages.
The first season, which earned 9 million views online and was funded solely by fan donations, is being released on the Microsoft platforms today.
The Microsoft-Xbox partnership dovetails with the content of the show, a series about online gamers.
