Despite new shows, she said, one major concern she has with some of CTD’s more established properties is staying relevant. Trying to stem that tide, she shifted “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” into high-definition this season, installing them in a brand-new multimillion-dollar studio. “Consistency is the magic formula,” she said. “You don’t want to turn on the television one day and say, ‘Wow, what happened to that show?’”
What: CTD and Ms. Wood are looking toward the future, developing talk shows with Leah Remini and Valerie Bertinelli for next season. Ms. Wood said Ms. Bertinelli, a divorcee who has struggled with her weight, would be a comfortable fit for daytime. And Ms. Wood said she believes Ms. Remini has proven herself with online Web series “In the Motherhood,” which chronicled user-submitted stories about being a mom.
