NBC will bid farewell to “ER” with a two-hour finale on March 12 at 9 p.m., the network said in its mid-season schedule announcement. New series “Kings” will start with a two-hour premiere March 19 at 9 p.m. before it settles into “ER’s” time slot March 26 at 10 p.m.
The network’s midseason push begins right after the network’s broadcast of “Super Bowl XLIII” Feb. 1 with a new one-hour episode of “The Office,” as previously announced.
“Medium” returns on Monday, Feb 2, at 10 p.m. after a special 3-D episode of “Chuck” at 8 p.m. and the debut of “Heroes” Vol. 4, “Fugitives,” at 9 p.m.
Wednesday nights on the network also will feature new episodes of “Life” beginning Feb. 4 at 10 p.m. and “Knight Rider,” which will wrap up its season on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. The 9 p.m. time slot is yet to be announced, though a new series will debut on March 4.
February also will see the premiere of the new original film “XIII” starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff, with airdates scheduled for Feb. 8 and 15 at 9 p.m.
Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” will return Sunday, March 1, at 9 p.m. with two-hour episodes.
A premiere for “The Untitled Amy Poehler Project” from “Office” executive producer Greg Daniels is yet to be announced, though NBC brass recently said it’s still on track for a spring debut.
NBC also is yet to announce a premiere for its new drama “The Philanthropist.”
