‘Yule Log’ Returns to iN Demand Networks, WPIX
iN Demand Networks is bringing back “The Yule Log” on Dec. 8 due to popular demand.
The high-definition “Yule Log,” featuring a crackling fireplace and holiday music, is available free to Comcast, Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks Video-on-Demand customers throughout the month.
Also, iN Demand will launch “Winter Green” and “Snowman” this month.
“Customers have sought out and enjoyed our ‘Yule Log’ for the past six years,” Jason Patton, senior VP of business development, said in a statement. “Every year we receive more and more positive feedback from our viewers, so we decided to expand our offerings and add ‘Snowman’ and ‘Winter Green.’ It's our gift to digital cable subscribers: the most heart-warming backdrops for their holiday celebrations.”
“The Yule Log” also will air on New York’s WPIX on Dec. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., digitally remastered with restored audio.
WPIX, which debuted “The Yule Log” in 1966, will offer the log as wallpaper, a downloadable podcast and via flash video at www.wpix.com.
Additionally, the following Tribune stations will air WPIX’s “Yule Log”: KTLA Los Angeles, 5-8 a.m.; WGN Chicago, 1:30-6:30 a.m.; WPHL Philadelphia, 9 a.m.-noon; WDCW Washington, D.C., 8-10 a.m.; KCPQ Seattle, 5-9 a.m.; WSFL Miami, 7-10 a.m.; KWGN Denver, 5-9 a.m.; KTXL Sacramento, Calif., 4:30-9 a.m.; KPLR St. Louis, 8 a.m.- noon; KRCW Portland, Ore., 5-10 a.m.; WXIN Indianapolis, 5-9 a.m.; WTTV Indianapolis, 5-8:30 a.m.; WTIC Hartford, Conn., 8-10 a.m.; WXMI Grand Rapids, Mich., 5-7 a.m.; WPMT Harrisburg, Pa., 5-10 a.m.; and WGNO New Orleans, 5-7 a.m. KDAF in Dallas will air its own version of the Yule Log from 8-11 a.m.
WGN America will broadcast "Yule Log: The Golden Age of Christmas" set to classic radio programs on Dec. 24 at 9 p.m. through 6 a.m. on Dec. 25.
