Cartoon Network Launches MMOG Game
Cartoon Network New Media and Grigon Entertainment have launched a massively multiplayer online game, Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall.
The game allows users to create avatars to battle alongside popular Cartoon Network characters.
More than 2.5 million accounts were created during the game’s beta phase.
Subscriptions for FusionFall start at $5.95 per month, but a free play area is available in the “Future Zone.”
“We are excited to launch FusionFall, our most ambitious game to date from Cartoon Network,” Paul Condolora, senior VP of digital for Turner Broadcasting System Inc.’s Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media Group, said in a statement. “With ground-breaking game play and our international development with Grigon, FusionFall expands on our commitment to producing quality games. We know kids will enjoy teaming up with their favorite Cartoon Network characters in this new dynamic world.”
