MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ Brews New Web Site
MSNBC and msnbc.com have debuted a new Web site for “Morning Joe.”
The new site, located at www.joe.msnbc.com, features embeddable show clips, commentary, all of Mika Brzezinski’s must-read op-eds, an expanded Zeitgeist section and podcasts.
“‘Morning Joe’ is where the conversation begins each day on MSNBC, so we’ve redesigned the site to make it easier for the hosts and viewers to keep the dialogue going all day long,” Randy Stearns, deputy editor for msnbc.com, said in a statement. “With embeddable video and podcasts, consumers can watch, share and debate their favorite segments at any time.”

RE: Gov. PALIN coverage & comments today,01-09-09 on Morning Joe: STOP saying the News Media treated her unfair............Sat night live or a comedian IS NOT the News Media.........the fact is Gov. PALIN was NOT qualified and in my opinion a blithering idiot!
Thanks Norm

A leadership a sleep at the wheel it wasn't high tech. that cause 911 or the mess on wall street. IT was that our security forces have been found lulled asleep by greed. The fact remains if the powers that be wither DEM . OR REP.were busy stopping dog fighting &steriods.

Morning Joe is a terriffic idea, an island of political talk in a sea of morning news trivia with miondless, giggling hosts but it is critically flawed. Scarborough is a crypto-fascist and a moral imbecile and Mika is sadly, profoundly stupid. So each day the show is sabotaged by the stupidity and moral blindness of its hosts. If only they could be replaced, the ratings would rise and so would the level of discourse. Until then I will avoid it.

Who was that woman seated directly behind Hillary Clinton at the Senate Confirmation Hearing? Someone should have gotten her out of there, she was a terrible distraction to what Hillary was saying, shocking to see her antics.
Roxie Hagman
Love your show Joe, Mika and Willy. Keep up the good work. I for one would like to see you moved to night time tv and relegate Olberman and Maddow to the early morning slots.
Faye
Please remember that when you all talk at one
time...nothing is heard !!
ALSO..Mika...........heard you just say that
you had been in the news business a long
time...as if that makes a professional??
BUT...your constant "ooh, aah, oh no..no..
stop..don't stop..don't go there" sounds
as if you are a teenager in the backseat
with your boyfriend....
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!

Why does MSNBC feature Pat Buchanan so much? He talks as if he is an authority one every subject. example: Wed. Jan.14 He interrupts almost every guest; he actually argued with Harod Ford and Pat continued and Harold in a very loud voice said "I agree with you" and finally Harold, allmost yelling to Pat because Pat would not stop and finally Harold got the last word. You should have Harold on more and less of Pat; he can be so rude.
Also, Mika as co-host spent too much time on the subject of "torture". When Tom Friedman appeared as your guest as an expert on the Israeli Conflict and presenting his opiniona, Mika asked Tom about the "torturing"as it appeared in the New York times this morning and Tom replied; "I haven't read the article" and Mika read (as she frequently does)the long article again and Tom commented on what she had read. The point is in my opinion, Mika should not have interrupted Tom's "train of thought" and switched to another subject.
Agin,Mika should stick to presenting the Headline news.
Again, I love Morning Joe and especially when he is on. In my opinion, he controlles the show.
Jane
Mika,
I feel the Republicans are being childish and I feel they all got together and planned not to sign the bill - it's suspicious since NONE of this signed.
I do feel that if President Obama had too many items to pass and wonder if it would have been better is he would focus mostly on the items that pertained to the economy especially getting people back to work and Insurance, then later some of those other items of concern.

I was really turned off this am after seeing how much more time seemed to be allocated to the super bowl segment than time with DICK GREGORY. You see, I am offended by most sports events, especially super bowl where money seems to just pour in... when we have families and children who don't know where their next meal will come from......
adam
No more Morning Joe for me.
Mika repeats the same comments on the Stimulus Plan every day.
CNN is news worthy. Morning Joe and Mika are in a rut..
Watch those ratings fall.
The only informative news is from Chuck Todd.

JOE: I watch your show frequently.I am disappointed with the way the show ignores large issues such as: The NSA's neglect of informing the FBI about known terrorists living and comunicating with Benladin before 9/11, The unregulated first bailout by Paulson,Bush and congress! It is dissapointing to see how much humor you all find in the sad current state of affairs. The more I inform myself the more I need to find real answers to the important questions facing our nation. I look to you for help in that quest. The main problem as I see it,is that no one is responsible for the numerous situations that we find ourselves in. Real change will only occur when we all are held accountable.
joe kracher
JOE: I need to make a correction. I meant to say: The NSA' neglect of informing the FBI about known terroist living in the US and comunicating with Beladdin before 9/11, (Sorry about that.)
Thank You,
Joe K.

What’s the rush?
Are you guys serious?
Cretans:
The rush is that people are losing their homes, their jobs, and can’t put food on the table for themselves and their families. While you idiots sit their immune from the problem, so far, pontificating these stupid questions, people are suffering! Instead of asking these asinine questions , you should tell those Republican obstructionist they need to do something immediately.
Further, I have another scenario for your guest who, blames everything on Obama and the Democrats.
The stimulus package fails or is delayed… more people lose their jobs and everyone realizes, had we done something sooner than later we might have evaded a deep-depression. Everyone blames the REPUBLICANS for the delay. They lose all their seats in the mid-term elections. Sooner or later, this is going to start spreading even to the most conservative districts, and people will know that the Republicans, who put us in this situation, are responsible… and there will be hell to pay.
linda mandel
This so called "stimulus bill" needs to be drastically changed. Break this monster into parts that the American people can understand and get real benefits from.
The President and Congress can immediately put together a clean emergency relief bill that:
1. Extends unemployment for 52 weeks
2. Allows those people who lost their health insurance with their jobs to go on Medicaid immediately
3. Create a short term program to help people stay in their homes until a more permanent solution can be found.
In this way, Americans who are suffering can feel that their government is really there to help them in time of crisis.
After these needs are taken care of, the recovery and reform programs can be thoughfully prepared - not rushed through so the politicians can "look good".
sandy
mika is great. joe is another story. he is so into thinking whatever his views are are right. well joe, Bush the problem is gone and you really need to have moe respect for our President Obama and give him a chance to do the things he wants and not judge him now. I guess in N.fl they do that.Ihave been living in S. fl for 10 years due to health reasons, and I really would rather be back in Pittsburgh where I come from and the people are friendly and down to earth. so no more joe for me!!
Logan
Is it me, or is Gibb (new press secretary) look as though he has shed a few pounds since January 20th? He looks nice!!!!!!
sandy
Iam sure the only thing worth watching on morning joe are his quests. chuck todd, mark halpiern, to mention a few.
joe you are so wrapped up in the republicans losing the election that you cannot see straight. you at times make no sense and for sure you need to give President Obama and his team a chance.
bush is gone and believe it or not he and his group especially cheney where the cause for all the mess we are in.
one other thing, mika how do you put up with him??? he will not let you or anyone get a word in the conversations.
grow up joe, the bad guys are gone!!
ed murphy
Been watching Morning Joe for sixteen months, I now believe that the program should be retitled, Morning Mika. I enjoy your show very much. Joe, could you please wear a TIE.
edithbenson
joe scarborough is a loud mouthed rude buffoon.I notice some guests do not return because he makes them feel uncomfortable. Andrea Mitchell doesn'ttake any crap from him and neither should Mika. He is also disrespectful of the new President. He looks like he may choke before he refers to him as President Obama. "This is my show Joe" should be replaced.
Pat from New York City
For the past 8 years (2000-2008), the Republican POTUS was the first ever in the history of this country's presidents to have a M.B.A., one from Harvard yet. Why then, with this advanced, specialized degree, did he allow this horrific worldwide financial debacle to occur on his watch? Or was he ever in charge of decision-making for this Office in the first place? While his father ran the country as Veep for the 8 years of the Reagan presidency, Iran-Contra anyone, perhaps it was assumed that the ex-Haliburton CEO as Veep was to do the same for the Bush #43 presidency. Just a thought to ponder.
sandy
Joe is very picky. he makes the guests on his show feel like he is always right, and does not let them get a word in. there are a few such as andrea mitchell who will not put up with his baloney. The worst thing about him is he is never able to address our President Obama with respect. He needs to be replaced. I do not understand what is so great about Morning Joe??
bob from oklahoma
This morning Joe finally described some of his pro-Obama regular guests in a term that many in fly over America can relate to: pansies. I laughed out loud when watching one of the media elites describe Morning Joe as America's breakfast table. What a disconnect between the Beltway/Manhattan bubble people and middle America. I would love to ask them one question: How many of you used a private car and chauffer to get to the show this today? The answer would be telling....
MARY HALL
JOE, IF YOU LOST YOUR JOB, YOUR HOME, AND HAD TO GO ON FOOD STAMPS AND LIVE IN A SHELTER, COULD YOU SURVIVE? I DOUBT IT. WHY IS IT, PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND THE REST OF YOUR BABBLING CREW, HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE TO SUFFER. PUT YOURSELF IN SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOES JUST ONCE. YOU SIT THERE MORNING AFTER MORNING GOING AFTER THE PRESIDENT. HE DID WIN AND BIG TOO! HE TRIED TO WORK WITH THE DEMS BUT THEY WANT TO DO THEIR BILL AND TAX CUTS, TAX CUTS,TAX CUTS. FACE IT, GEORGE BUSH GOT US HERE AND NOW OBAMA HAS TO TRY TO GET US OUT OF THIS MESS. I WAS A REPUBLICAN BUT VOTED FOR OBAMA; THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE FOR A DEMOCRATE.
GIVE HIM A BREAK. AND BY THE WAY, CAN MIKA EVER TALK WITHOUT YOU YACKING OVER HER? YOU SHOULD GO AND THE SHOW SHOULD BE MORNING WITH MIKA!
sandy
JOE CONTINUES TO BABBLE ON ABOUT ONLY WHAT HE THINKS IS RIGHT AND NEVER GIVES THE OTHER PERSON, WHETHER IT IS HIS GROUP OR A GUEST ON THE SHOW TO PROVIDE THEIR OPINION. JOE, YOU SHOULD REALIZE THAT BUSH AND ALL THAT IS EVIL IS GONE. PRESIDENT OBAMA IS TRYING TO GET US OUT OF THIS MESS THAT YOU REPUBLICANS HAVE PUT US IN. PLEASE START THINKING BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND SAY NOTHING, AND AT TIMES LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE ON YOUR SHOW.OR MAYBE YOU SHOULD FIND ANOTHER PROFESSION!!!!!!
sandy
JOE YOU ARE DOING IT AGAIN. BABBLING ON LIKE YOU HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS! LET THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING FIX THINGS. JOE MAKES ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WATCHING HIS COMMENTS ON EVERYONE EXCEPT THE REPUBLICANS.
Jeanette Renault
Joe, Your morning show has been so much better this week with you alone (without Mika). She interrupts you and the facial expressions are somewhat less than flattering when you are speaking.
sandy
JOE YOU CONTINUE TO BE LOUD MOUTHED. THE GUESTS YOU HAVE ON YOUR SHOW HAVE SO MUCH MORE CLASS THEN YOU, AND I HAVE NOTICED IF THEY ARE PRO-OBAMA THEY ARE MADE TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. WHY NOT LET MIKA HOST THE SHOW AND WE WILL SEE A MORE REALISTIC VIEW OF THE NEWS. THIS WAY JOE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INTERRUPT THE GUESTS.
sandy
JOE IT REALLY CHOKES YOU UP TO AGREE WITH ANYTHING PRESIDENT OBAMA SAYS OR DOES. YOU PICK AND PICK AND TRY TO GET YOUR GUESTS TO LISTEN TO THE GARBAGE THAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. MYBE YOU SHOULD GO WORK WITH THE GOV. OF LOUISIANA. HE IS A JOKE JUST LIKE YOU.
Dom Bart
Hey Joe!! Keep up the Rant and Rage that you do so well.
Your RED neck is starting to "Glow".
(almost purple) With some more work you can probably change the color!!
sandy
JOE YOU ARE STILL TALKING OVER YOUR GUESTS AND STAFF. YOU THINK MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY OR DO YOU HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS? I DO NOT THINK SO. I AGREE YOUR "RED NECK" RAGE IS STARTING TO GLOW. NORTH FL IS WHERE YOU BELONG!!
Faye
Jim Cramer is constantly being irrational so that
ALL the news channels will pick up his "act"...
I think several personalities on CNBC are
trying to make a name for themselves...Since
they know the Stock Market will be in the
news for days...
He is labeled at my house as simply "a nut"....
Dom Bart
Hey JOe !!how is your red neck comming along?
Please tell us again how to solve the "Banking Problem"
Try to find somthing else to find fault with the President.I am sure you can find something . If not then shut the F--- up.
sandy
joe, how about trying to agree with some of the things the president is trying to do, to get us out of the mess you republicans have put us in. also as far as health care, it is something that is very important to our country and to keep our people healthy and get the right care. you are a idiot and may I say as a cancer patient that you need to see things the way other people do. and I also agree if you cannot say anything good about PRESIDENT OBAMA then shut up. SO UNLESS YOU CAN SOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS, JUST STOP BABBLING YOUR REDNECK CONVERSATIONS.
Diane Smith
I'm sorry to say I have watched your show for the last time. The only redeeming person on it is Chuck Todd. I can't stand watching Mika allow Joe to degrade her again and again by interrupting and cutting her off. Grow a backbone Mika , it's insulting to all women. Joe, you are the just an a hole, rude, abrasive, and at times make no sense at all. Love your Dad Mika, but oh my God loose Jim Cramer. And loose JOE !!!!!!
Robin
I love waking up to Morning Joe- I think Willie is fantastic along with Pat Buchanan and Mike Barnicle.I actually enjoy the bantering between Mika and Joe!
Cyn
Dear Mika and Joe:
I am just wondering when the hell you are going to pack up the tent and move it and yourselves over to Fox? Sooner rather than later would be appreciated by the viewers who support our president. On second thought, leave the tent. You can leave O'Donnell and Barnicle behind to take over your co-hosting duties. They might actually let their guests get a word in now and then. I guess Willy can stay, too; he is harmless enough.
Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
Thanks.
sandy
HEY JOE YOUR REDNECK RAGE IS SHOWING. GIVE YOUR GUESTS A BREAK AND VOICE THEIR OPINION. JOE YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT SOMEBODY ELSE EXCEPT THE REPUBLICANS ARE RIGHT. IT REALLY BOTHERS YOU THAT WE FINALLY HAVE A PRESIDENT WHO IS GOING TO GET US OUT OF ALL THE MESS YOUR MR. BUSH GOT US INTO. ALSO PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR TASTE OF CLOTHES. ALSO I BELIEVE ALSO YOU NEED TO MOVE OVER TO FOX WHERE IT WOULD SUIT YOU BETTER.
Cyn
Thanks, Sandy! I am thiiiiiiis close to turning "Morning Joe" off for good. I thought Mika's response to the Paris Hilton crap was right on and I applauded her for that. But her response to "The View"'s Barbara Walters doing a harmless vibrator joke was ridiculous. She came off as a humorless, uptight prig. Get over it. Real women can take a vibrator joke!
thomas bushelon
Did I actually hear mika brezinski say on national t v that pirates are people too ?
thats a little too easy to say when your safely tucked away in america and her loved ones are not at risk ? i wonder what her attitude would be then ?
Joe, when are you going to get rid of that idiot ? a semi pretty face only goes so far, and she is border line at best.
Barea
Morning Joe can be as addictive as morning coffee, but I prefer expresso which the intellectual presenters and guest speakers obviously percolate to!!
I appreciate most of what the show represents and tries to communicate; enlightening and frustrating at times. The frustrating part is that I believe after watching Morning Joe for over a year that Joe Scarborough (sp?) more often than not, comes off like a pompous windbag; especially when he constantly disrespects his wonderful and very talented co-host, Mika! Joe, why do you feel the need to constantly "diminish" and undermind her verbal contributions? That may not be your goal, but that what it looks like and it is VERY distasteful!! I notice you don't interrupt your male "round table" buddies when they are making statements and or comments whether their topics are of interest or just funny and silly things to say to waste air time?? I love it when Mika's brilliant father is on Morning Joe, he obviously has had to deal with many, egotist and the need to be "heard" child adults to address and precisely "call you out" on your self-absorbed verbal blunderings.
Also, for all your good catholic boy upbringing you obviously have forgot the qualities of that training. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! You and the other strident "side show kick" Pat come off as having total sour grapes mentalities especially when it comes to President Obama's administration. Insightful and informed Americans voted your party out of office and are leaving by the droves, no wonder - it's a bunch of whinny white boys and men who did not when the game to dictate from the ultimate power source in America, The White House.
Grow up and be one of the "peace makers" as you so often call Washington Players to be! You talk a good game but you can't walk it yet!!
thomas bushelon
JOE, IT'S YOUR SHOW, BUT DID I ACTUALLY HEAR MIKA B. SAY PIRATES ARE PEOPLE TOO ON NATIONAL T V ? IS SHE KIDDING ? TIME TO GET RID OF THAT IDIOT. A SEMI PRETTY FACE ONLY GOES SO FAR, ESPECIALLY IN THESE TRYING TIMES.
AND TODAY YOU HAVE ELLIOT SPITZER ON TELLING US HOW TO FIX THE ECONOMY? A NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT WHO HAD TO RESIGN HIS OFFICE CAUSE HE WAS TOO STUPID TO COVER HIS TRACKS WHEN DATING PROSTITUTES.
COME ON JOE, CNN IS LOOKING BETTER ALL THE TIME !
Cyn
I totally disagree that Mika has anything of value to contribute. She is a yes-woman to Joe and all she does is simper and nod her head when he speaks . . . and, considering how much and how long he speaks, I am surprised the poor woman does not suffer from whiplash. I do like it when her father comes on. There was one day when he really let Joe have it, and I applauded. I am paraphrasing here, but I believe he said that Joe's knowledge of the topic at hand (don't remember it now) was "startlingly superficial", and you saw Joe's face turn red. He's a jerk. And yet, I still tune in! Has to be for the guests, because the co-hosts are both tiresome, as far as I am concerned. JMO.
Mary
I really wish they would find another program to put in the place of "Morning Joe" Joe acts like a "Big Goofy Dumb, Trailer Park Kid". No class, won't even dress for the show, which is I blame MSNBC. Maybe you should give the slot to Willie and Mike, those two guys are much better and more informative. Pat B. is a thing of the pass. Go home Pat and work in your yard, play golf or whatever you may be good at because your 60's way of thinking is out of touch, the country is moving on and you are still with Ronald R. he was good in his day, however, his day is over and so is yours pat, so get off the stage. "go Home Pat".
I hate "FOX NEWS" with a passion, but I have to admit their "FOX AND FRIENDS" show is a heck of a sight better than "MORNING JOE",they have more of a variety and they dress as if they are on TV.
Lynda
Why is it that republicans are loud mouths, never letting anyone, with an opposing view finish their thought! TALK OVER AND INTERRUPT, AT EVERY CHANCE THEY GET!
It would be a much better show without the likes of Scarbourough, Mika and Buchanan! Buchanan is just a talking point for the GOP, and gets paid for saying the same things, over and over again! And Joe, is just plain out of touch with reality and offers nothing, but sarcasm to anyone on the left. He's a HAS BEEN!
I love O'Donnell! He should be the main host! SMART, THOUGHTFUL AND CONSIDERATE!
Scarborough, is just another RED NECK MORON, who also, never served in the armed forces and is divorced. Talk about family values! Had an affair, so typical of those repubs!
GIVE THE SHOW TO LAWRENCE O'DONNELL, PLEASE!!!!!

If I have to hear Buchanan say ONE MORE TIME how Sarah Palin bumped McCain up right after the convention, I am going to hurl something at the TV. He has said it a million times if he said it once. SHUT UP already. McCain LOST and in no small part thanks to Palin. Geez!
I have the show on right now and Zbigniew Brezenskiz is on. So far, he is being very courteous to Joe. Fight! Fight! Fight!
Oh, cool! Michael Steele is coming up. LOVE to start my day with a belly-laugh!

Long live Lawrence O`donnel. I just cannot get over Joe`s lack of manners! Slurp you latte fool. While the world crumbles and your one and only solution is to grumble.

Good grief you have the President Peres on and all you can hear is the backgound noise, people talking, other noises. Can't this station afford a sound proof room. Sounds like your interview took place in a bar, what an insult to your guests.

Hello Joe
My name is Valerie and I live in Trinidad & Tobago which is in the Caribbean. The summit of the Americas was held here in April. I love your show. It is fantastic, with Mika and Willi, Pat, Mike and Lawrence, it is a great team.
I like the must read op-eds,news you can't use where I think willi is such a talented guy, keep it up. Joe, I think you are really funny. I will let you all know that I have never switched to another network since March 2008. Not even in my own country I look at the channels. I adore you all because I don't leave for work until you are finished.
Kindest regards
Valerie

As a 25 year military veteran I find the rhetoric about Guantanomo prisoners embarassing. The past administration declared a 'war on terrorism,' took prisoners, denied them POW status, and incarcerated them at Gitmo as an end run to not use our Federal Courts or the Uniform Code of Military Justice. How does the nation that declared that war not have responsibility for prisoners taken. Now we have politicians of both parties spreading fear politics by saying these prisoners may be set free on the streets of our cities. Your show this morning is touting the NYT report that 1 in 7 return to the battlefield. That's a better ratio than the recitivism rate we have within our current prison sytem
It seems to me that if we worry they may gain some rights in our prisons they don't currently enjoy like Habeus Corpus, maybe we should build a separate and different facility with different rights. Finally, as far as I know none of these prisoners are American citizens. If we don't possess sufficient evidence to convict them, they will be deported. Have any European countries that have caught and tried terrorists refused to try them within their current system of justice?

Eva, there was one day when they did separate Willie and Mike and then a flood of complaints came in. One person wrote that seeing them separated was like seeing Yogi without Boo-Boo, lol. It does look odd, though. Anyway, for my money, Mike should get more air-time. He actually should get Joe's job. Joe should get a spot on the couch over at Fox. That is where he belongs. He can take Liz Cheney, who has been on twice in two weeks, with him. Birds of a feather, those two.

Hi Try Never To Miss Morning Joe. I am Democrat n you are the only conservative I can listen to without changing the channel and Mika hot that helps. Joe, when are you going to addressed the real issues. you often say that you wre critical of your own party, but you lose site when it was your parrty and wall street that ran this country in to the ground and the tax cuts that you support took a surplus and vreated it a defecit. So whine that spending will hurt the fure of our children where you and the over conservatives when your party was runninng this country into the ground with your 300 dollar rebate checks that was good for a week and the billions ibn corporate wealthfare that you party supports and you supported while in congress. Who children future are you concerned about the average american or people in your class that dont have to worry about where their next meal comes from. It nice to speak from a high horse, when your party has ran the country into the ground and now your fellow conservatives are worried about our children future. If you the conservatives were that concerned then you would not have spent the surplus on meaningless 300 dollars checks and we would have jobs and would not have need a bone just eat. I'm Jim from Kernersville, NC and I,ve been watching the coverage on Iran. It reminds me of the US in the 60's and 70's. Have we fogotten that this country used tear gas and riot police to abuse our protesters. And even killed 4 students at Kent State. Why was that alright yet we condemn Iran. I think they were both wrong but we seem to have this holier than thou attitude about it. I say we should take a look at ourselves and get it right here before we start trying to run the rest of the world.

Jim from the 60's, you are so right. I still remember that awful day when news of four deaths at Kent State came over the radio. Shocking then and now.
Here is what I found puzzling and frustrating about today's show. The entire show was devoted to Michael Jackson's death. Yes, he was an icon (both good and bad), and yes, he was a world-class and world-famous entertainer. I loved his music. But I don't tune into "Morning Joe' for news, however big, about celebrities. I tune in for political news and opinions. I then switched to "The Today Show", and what the hell was I thinking? Of course, it, too, was wall-to-wall Jackson coverage. Oh, they did give a couple of minutes to the death of Farrah Fawcett. THEN I switched, and stayed with, "Squawk Box" until I left for work. At least it was relatively Jackson-free. They pretty much stuck to their format. I am not a TMZ fan, nor do I drool over movie stars, but I do understand that some people want that news. There are plenty of outlets to which they can turn to get it. "Morning Joe" should not be one of them. Just sayin' . . .

joe, while you are joining the elite, your book will never reach the best seller list. i can purchase a pound of coffee for every cup of starbucks. you really don't know what is going on in america.why not just slap the average american in the face while starbuck stores close around the country.

Joe, listen to your Mother and me. Gov. Palin gave her reasons for resigning--but you and many other egomanic, talking heads are either too ignorant (uninformed as opposed to being stupid) or unwilling to accept that some of us have priorities other than being in public office (family for one).
You have acknowledge this--as the reason for your resignation from the 1st District of FL House seat.
Her reasoning was effective and powerful--look at the reaction from the MSM. Even the somewhat dim David Schuster is cautious in his condemnation of her--a bold statement followed up by a maybe there is more to come.
Palin probably will not run for elected office, but she will become an effective leader of the Conservative cause. Note the contrast of her successful two years as govenor of AK (likely will be the best of the first 50 years) and the failures of our supposedly better educated President. But again Obama may be doing what he intended--make the USA an improvished, socialist society--spread the misery.
Cheers,
Ted Gortemoller

show would be a lot better and easier to listen to if you stopped talking over your guests and interupting them.
Show sounds too much like the view.
I want to hear what your guests have to say. After a couple of days we all know what you think.

I am missing Mikki this week. Is she on vacation or did she decide that she could not stand getting up that early and keeping that rowdy crew under control? It is not as much fun without her, though I still wake up and watch every morning. I like the different opinions presented in a civilized manner.

I watch your show every morning and enjoy it very much.
I would like for you to clear something up if possible.
I thought that the Health Plan was to cover those people who had no insurance or could not get insurance. Then if others wanted to choose that insurance they had that option. If this insurance is suppose to be for the uninsured then will it cost so much money to insurnace just them? I did not think that this was to be for every body.
Thank You

Obama is president ... get over it
Published: Tuesday, September 15, 2009
American voters last November sent Barack Obama to the White House by a clear majority of votes, evidencing the majority's desire for change in many areas, including health care reform. Even so, the media continue to highlight the noisy far-right fanatics who were not in that majority and who will not decide the direction of this country.
The media never gave as much coverage to those millions of us who protested the Iraq War repeatedly for years as they have to this loud minority, even though we organized much larger and more widespread demonstrations. The media, for whatever reason (money and corporate interests, we assume), are making it look like this crowd of right-wing malcontents speak for more people than they actually do. They do not speak for the majority (thank God), which was smart enough to elect Barack Obama.
Barack Obama won the election, folks. Get over it.
Additionally, Barack Obama has inherited the biggest mess anyone could imagine from the right-wing crowd that ruled this country for eight years. It's amazing beyond comprehension that the far right now wants to bring back the same group of incompetents who wrecked this country and then left it for President Obama to clean up - an almost impossible job, but one he is trying valiantly, methodically and competently to do. Those who really care about this country are cheering him on, not tearing him down and yelling in his face.
The total lack of logic, reason, and civility - and the thinly veiled threats of violence - in the right's vehement protests directed toward President Obama leads to one conclusion about the motives of too many of them: racism. Finally, many of us are starting to talk about this ugly reality openly. A recent article quoted many African-Americans and other public figures who are calling the protests and lack of respect directed against President Obama for what they are: racist. It is nothing but a racist movement egged on by an angry mob that cannot get over President Obama's election.
This group represents America at its worst. They are the same people who yelled in our faces, "My country, right or wrong," and called anti-war activists "traitors" when George Bush was wrecking this country in every way. They now sing a different song and yell "keep government out of my life" and "deficits" after standing silent for eight years while Bush spent this country to oblivion and gave trillions of dollars in tax cuts to the wealthy.
Now they protest health care reform's projected costs, just after silently allowing Bush and company to "spend like drunken sailors." What's the difference between George Bush and Barack Obama? Just take a look at their faces, folks, and call it what it is: racism.
Barack Obama won, folks, by a clear majority.
Get over it.

I recently attended my dad's reunion of his WWII bomber wing, in D.C.. By my count 6 out of 10 cars wereof a foreign make.We need to buy american made products in this country. In my hometown of Lansing MI 4 large GM plants have been torn down & they are planting grass where GM & Oldsmobile plants stood 4 90 years.Yesterday the president spoke of every amercan having a good job with benefits. That wont happen without people building cars in factories that are owned by american citizens. The factory worker became the middle class in the 1920s. and without american automobile factories we would not have won WWII.

I'm sick and tired of Mika and Joe trying to down play racism. I saw the event on Saturday and have yet to see any faces of color present; all parties were white and they wanted their country back - what do you guys think they mean when they state this fact. Bush nor any other President prior to the first African American one has been called a liar while addressing the congress; but, Mr. Wilson found it ok to do so - why - because Barack Obama is a black man???? Bush told plenty of lies to the country and no one ever yelled out calling him a liar when he addressed the congress. You and Mika sit there on Morning Joe always trying to down play racist acts from your republican counterparts. But I have seen all forms of racism in this country and I know when people are racially charged/motivated and the birthers; some of the townhallers and a lot of the congressmen and women have very racially motivated motives for a lot of the things they say and do. Joe and Mika like to sit up on their morning show and want to appear neutral in all of this; when it screams through the television screen that the both of you also have some racial problems that's why you can't (or won't) admit that our current president is being attacked and its all because of his race. There are legimate things people can fight with him about in the health care bill; but they aren't; they are addressing lies and scaring the american people. Oh yeah, and Joe, maybe you need to let your guests answer the questions you throw out to them before you interupt them. It appears that if they aren't in agreement with you; you find it necessary to interupt them - shut up sometimes and let your guests respond.

Obama just can't seem to win. He goes out and meets the people who elected him and you say he's not doing it the right away. I remember you guys saying one time that he needs to be out there explaining the whole healthcare thing to the people. Now you want him to sit down and call the senators the LBJ way. What makes you think he hasn't done that already? It is always so easy to sit in arm chair and criticize while drinking starbucks!! Yeah, I know how that feels.

Joe: I just heard your comments about the immorality of our using drones to hunt & assassinate our enemies, killing innocents in the process, yet you stand silent as the Israelis routinely do this in Lebanon and Gaza, killing and maiming innocent Palestinian children and grandmothers. Why the double standard? Why turn a blind eye to the Israeli atrocities?

Mika has no concept of how difficult it is for many people to have a 'healthy'
lifestyle. She grew up in a world of
privilege. To augment her Williams degree
I would suggest visits to hospital emer-
gency rooms, and interviews with people
who are busy working several jobs so
their families can simply exist. They do not have time to learn about every aspect of nutrition or watch programs such as, "Morning Joe." She should rail at the companies who add incredible amounts of junk to cereals and other
packaged foods. Mika is a fine journalist, but I doubt she has ever been one paycheck away from disaster.
She should check supermarkets carefully
and attempt to learn about the much
higher cost of healthy eating.Mika's
education is sadly incomplete regarding
many of the difficulties that so many Americans face every day of their lives.

I enjoy the show. but this morning when Mika got so upset about some one saying republicans wanting us to die early.
I thought it funny. The Republicans seem to be able to dish it out in spades from calling the president a nazi to a liar. but when the republicans get it back they start crying!
I think the man has a point nothing was done for 8 years but now the rep object to everything.
They just need to get togeather and come out with a plan so we will not have to die early for lack of health care.
thanks!

Am I the only one who is loving Joe's absence this week? The show runs much more smoothly, everyone gets to talk without constant interruption, and more than one opinion is expressed. Imagine that!
As to the comment about Mika's cluelessness about what is happening with working people whose lives are being marginalized, HEAR HEAR! I don't think she is a "fine journalist"; I think she sometimes asks sophomoric questions, which often get batted away by the guests like annoying flies. I agree with her stand on obesity and how it needs to be addressed, but she does come across as someone who does not get that people are struggling just to put food on the table. Perhaps she can take some time away from her Connecticut farm or her Manhattan apartment to see how the have-nots live.
All that said, I still watch the show because they get a really great roundup of good minds on, and I like hearing what the guests have to say. Except for Liz Cheney. Whenever I see her in the line-up, I switch to Joe and Becky and the gang.

Hi Joe!
Catholic priests were married in the Eastern Rite until Pope John Paul 23rd changed the rule. However, if they were married they could not be elevated any higher than the level of priest. After Vatican Council, they church stopped that rule.

We need to hear from the others at the table. Joe is great but we want to hear as much from the other points of view.

So, again, Joe brings smart people onto the show to discuss the election results and who does all the talking? No . .. bellowing and opinionating? JOE! Harold Ford has a good brain and an articulate way to express his views, but Joe just rams right over him. WHEN is someone going to do something about this? Oh, never mind. It is an ongoing complaint and an ongoing problem and it does not change. So, again, I had to change channels. When will I ever learn?!
A. Reilly
Mika YOUR porn. Accepting shoes from Donny Douch is just one of your many scanky lows. You & Joe should go get a room & leave the rest of America out of it. He can talk to you ad nauseum about his time in congress. Blah Blah Blah. I'm glad Imus is back. I've got to stop channel surfing during commercials though.
