CW Picks Up Kutcher’s ‘Beautiful Life’
The CW is feeling groovy about Ashton Kutcher’s “The Beautiful Life,” greenlighting a pilot for the project and bringing on “Swingtown” and “Jericho” scribes Mike Kelley and Carol Barbee to serve as executive producers.
“Life,” which has been in development at The CW since the fall, revolves around a group of models who live together in New York. Mr. Kutcher, who began his career as a model, is executive producing with Karey Burke via Katalyst.
Mr. Kelley and Ms. Barbee have just closed deals to join the project, leading the CW to pick it up to pilot. Also on board: Adam Giaudrone, another “Swingtown” alum.
CBS Paramount Network Television is producing “Beautiful Life.”
Mr. Kelley and Ms. Barbee are represented by Endeavor.

Demi Moores boy toy? Most famous for his role in: Dude Wheres My Car? Ugh. Wont be watching that. Im still mad at her for ruining Jericho Season 2 with all that unsubtle political leftist political commentary that was the framework for Season 2 - I couldnt make it past episode 3, but heard from a friend (a glutton for punishment) about the rest of the episodes, glad I didnt watch them. He mentioned something about turning a Jericho farm in Guantanamo Bay and how US troops marched into town pushing everyone around like thugs and how it was really the Republicans that blew up America. No wonder if was axed again. I still got my Season 1 DVDs to remind me of how great Jericho used to be.
