ABC Marches 'Jim' into 'Homeland' Slot Next Month
"According to Jim" is getting one last shot on ABC's primetime schedule.
The network has slotted back-to-back episodes of the Jim Belushi sitcom for Tuesday nights from 8 to 9 p.m. starting March 24, according to a listings grid posted on ABC's media Web site.
"Jim" replaces the reality series "Homeland Security U.S.A.," which has struggled in the ratings since the return of "American Idol."
ABC still has a dozen episodes of "Jim's" already filmed eighth season on the shelf. The network has never officially announced its cancellation, but industry insiders believe the series has finally reached the end of the line.
If so, and barring any last-minute scheduling moves, "Jim" will likely air its series finale in early May.
ABC last aired "Jim" in December, running several original holiday-themed episodes. The series is produced by ABC Studios.
