Web Video Viewing Increases
Web-video consumption among U.S. online audiences rose 2% in unique viewers (130 million) and almost 9% in total streams (9.7 billion) for March over the month before, Nielsen Online VideoCensus said.
Streams per viewer (74.4) increased almost 7% and the total minutes of online video watched per viewer (190.7) was up 13% from the month before.
Hulu.com continued to rank as the second most-trafficked Web video site in the U.S. for the month of March after edging out Yahoo! in February.
YouTube led the month with 5.5 billion total streams and 89.4 million unique viewers among U.S. Internet users. Hulu had 348.5 million total streams and 8.9 million unique visitors. Yahoo! rounded off the top three with 231.8 million total streams and 24.8 million unique viewers. For more rankings information, click here.
