“Farrah Fawcett: My Story” drew a big audience on NBC– at least by Friday night standards.
The two-hour special, which mixed home video footage and interviews with Fawcett as she fights cancer, averaged a 2.4/8 in adults 18-49 and just under 9 million viewers from 9-11 p.m. Friday. That’s according to preliminary national data from Nielsen.
“My Story” grew every half hour, and drew particularly big numbers among women 25-54 (4.6/13).
In other ratings news, the series finale of Fox’s “Prison Break” failed to break out of its ratings slump. It averaged a meager 1.2/5 and ranked fourth in its 8-10 p.m. slot. That’s a tad better than the just-renewed “Dollhouse” earned last week.
NBC would have easily won Friday night, but the network was dragged down in the 8 p.m. hour by “Howie Do It,” which earned a 1.3/5. (That’s better than the numbers Howie Mandel’s other series, the once-hot “Deal or No Deal,” averaged on NBC Monday).
Instead, NBC and CBS tied for the Friday lead, each averaging a 2.0/7. CBS won Friday among all viewers.
