Jun 3, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The second season DVD release of “The Boondocks” will include two unaired episodes that took aim at Black Entertainment Television and its executives, the Los Angeles Times reports. The episodes attack what the show views as the network’s harmful negative imagery and stereotypes, the newspaper says. BET executives complained to Cartoon Network and Sony Pictures Television, which produces the show, after learning of the episodes and urged the companies not to broadcast them, the newspaper notes, citing unnamed sources close to the program.
