AT&T Drops Dish for DirecTV

Sep 29, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Beginning Feb. 1, AT&T will sell DirecTV as a co-branded satellite TV service, MediaPost reports. The satellite company will be enveloped into the AT&T Advanced TV video portfolio and join AT&T U once the telecommunications giant’s deal with Dish Network expires. Many suspect AT&T severed ties with Dish because of the satellite provider’s failure to move aggressively into high-definition programming, the Web site says.
