A proposal sponsored by Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin could require cable operators to carry hundreds of low-power TV stations for the first time, Multichannel News reports. The plans would allow 555 Class A TV stations to apply for full-power status from the FCC, says Multichannel. Martin would like the FCC to vote on his plan at an Oct. 15 meeting.

Oh Goody! I can’t wait for HSN (home shopping), TBN (religion) and “Around the corner TV” (infomercials) to be full power! What a waste of signal! Forget about if they are low power!
