Lillo Brancato Jr., 32, a former actor on “The Sopranos” who played a young mobster, was cleared in the killing of an off-duty New York City police officer by a New York State Supreme Court jury, the New York Times reports. Brancato was found guilty of first-degree attempted burglary, but wasn’t to blame for the death of the officer, who was shot by Brancato’s accomplice, Steven Armento, 51, who was found guilty in October of first-degree murder.
