Fox News, CNN and MSNBC garnered big ratings increases in 2008, largely because of coverage of the U.S. presidential race, although viewership declined after the election last month, the Los Angeles Times reports. Fox, the most-watched cable-news network for a seventh year, grew its average prime-time audience 40 percent to 2.1 million, while CNN’s audience increased 69 percent to 1.3 million and MSBC boosted its audience by 82 percent to 920,000.
