Original episodes of “The Martha Stewart Show” will leave daytime syndication and move exclusively to cable in the fall.

Stewart, a syndication staple, will move to the Hallmark Channel come autumn, the network announced Tuesday morning.

The show will air weekdays from 10-11 a.m., as part of a two-and-half-hour block of original Martha Stewart programming. It will also be rerun during the day. The 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. block will feature new programming being developed by Stewart’s MSLO.

As part of the multiyear deal, MSLO will also develop prime time specials for the channel, some with holiday themes.

The show is currently in its fifth season and is distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

  1. I was wondering when “Martha” was going to get the ax considering she has averaged a 0.6 rating, well below what syndicators and stations usually cancel production. What am I missing here? “Martha” switches to cable where things will improve? Doubt it….

  2. So I guess this means “The Nate Berkus Show” will gather some affiliates from this..

  3. I have been immensly enjoying the Martha Stewart Classic Gardening shows on the Hall mark channel for weeks and today they stopped airing in the afternoons EasternTime. How could they do this?! Not nice!
The Classic shows are BETTER than the current ones!
How can I contact Hallmark to give my imput?
There is a MAJOR VOID in cable tv in regards to GARDENING shows (not garden design) since HGTV turned into RealEstateCity. They should call themselves Home & Realty ! Where is the garden part!! Bring back GARDEN SHOWS! It’s still America’s favorite pastime, even the Obama’s agree

  4. I love the expression. Everyone needs to express there own opinion and feel free to hear others. Keep it up 🙂
