Fox Takes Tuesday With ‘Idol’ and ‘Glee’

It was a good night for Fox in the Nielsen ratings on Tuesday, with "American Idol" and "Glee" both winning their time slots, reports TVbythenumbers.com.

At 8 p.m., "Idol" scored a 6.6 rating in the 18-49 demo, well ahead of CBS’ "NCIS" with a 3.2 and NBC’s "The Biggest Loser" with a 2.7. ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" results show was third with a 2.5, and the season finale of "90210" managed a 0.8 in the 18-49 demo.

"Glee" was tops at 9 p.m. with a 4.8 rating, ahead of the penultimate episode of "Lost" on ABC, which had a 4.1 in the among 18- to 49-year-olds. "The Biggest Loser’s" second hour slipped to a 3.5, while CBS’ "NCIS: LA" netted a 3.1.

NBC’s "Parenthood" won the 10 p.m. hour with a 2.6, just ahead of CBS’ "The Good Wife" and the finale of ABC’s "V" which were tied with a 2.3 in the 18-49 demo.
