More details have now been reported about Charlie Sheen’s incident earlier this week at New York’s Plaza Hotel that seem to call into question the statement from Sheen’s publicist that the incident just had to do with Sheen’s having a bad reaction to medicine.
According to the New York Post, Sheen had allegedly been drinking and doing cocaine and picked up a prostitute before returning to his room at New York’s pricey Plaza Hotel and freaking out.
Sheen allegedly started trashing the room after accusing the prostitute of stealing his cellphone and wallet, causing an estimated $7,000 worth of damage, which he offered to pay for, the story says.
While Sheen was yelling, his ex-wife, Denise Richards, 39, and his two daughters were in rooms across the hall, and Richards called the front desk at 2 a.m. to ask them to call the police, the story notes. The prostitute, meanwhile, allegedly locked herself in the bathroom and called a friend, who alerted hotel staff and called 911. According to the report, Sheen was allegedly so drunk that the police had to button his shirt for him after they told him to get dressed.
Sheen is now planning to return to Promises, a rehab center, reports RadarOnline.com. Although Sheen is still on probation in Colorado stemming from domestic violence charges, the District Attorney’s Office says it’s doubtful a probation violation would occur unless Sheen is charged with a crime, which he hasn’t been, the story notes.
