The first actor cast in ‘Lost’ has been cast in J.J. Abrams’ lastest TV effort, reports Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com.

It’s Jorge Garcia, who played Hurley on "Lost." In the new show, a Fox pilot called "Alcatraz," Garcia will play the "hippy geek" Dr. Diego Soto, an expert on Alcatraz, in the newest show, the article says.

The project focuses on a team of FBI agents who are tracking down a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners and guards who disappeared 30 years earlier and then reappear in the present day, the story says.
