CBS is close to a deal for a two-year pick up of "The Bold and the Beautiful," the only half-hour daytime drama on air,reports Deadline.com.

The renewal comes on the heels of CBS’ decision to give a three-year renewal to "The Young and the Restless," the story notes. Both soap operas were created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, with "The Bold and the Beautiful" debuting in 1987, the story adds.
