The host of the Fox series “America’s Most Wanted” said he believes a tip generated by an edition of his show helped lead Beverly Hills police to confront a man in the slaying of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen, the Los Angeles Times reports.

John Walsh told the Times that he was unable to provide specific details about the tip but said Beverly Hills investigators acted quickly on the information. "America’s Most Wanted" aired a piece Nov. 20 about the murder of Chasen, who was shot to death early Nov. 16 while driving near Whittier Drive and Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills.

“I believe they responded to a tip that we had passed on. BHPD reached out to us,” Walsh told the Times. “We have been working closely with Beverly Hills [police].”

Beverly Hills police had no comment on Walsh’s statement, the report said.

  1. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
