A former star of "Melrose Place" was indicted in New Jersey on charges of aggravated manslaughter and assault by auto after she was involved in a deadly crash earlier this year, reports TMZ.com.
Amy Locane, who played Sandy on the original ‘Melrose Place," crashed into the side of another car in Montgomery, New Jersey, in June, killing a woman in the front seat, the story notes.
Locane allegedly told police she had several glasses of wine before driving. The story says she may face 10 to 30 years in prison for the manslaughter charge and five to 10 years for the assault by auto charge.
Her attorney said he was surprised by the manslaughter charge and added, "I think it constitutes over-reaching by the prosecutor’s office," the article notes.
