Neil Patrick Harris, one of the stars of CBS’s "How I Met Your Mother" and a veteran host of award shows–including the Tonys and the Emmys–will be adding another award gig to his resume, reports the AP.
Spike TV announced Monday that Harris will host the eighth annual Video Game Awards. In addition to honoring the best video games, the broadcast will feature 13 world premieres of games scheduled for release in 2011 and beyond.
Harris is a star of video games in his own right, providing voiceover for a number of games, including most recently “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions” and “Rock of the Dead.”
Spike TV presents the awards on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. ET.
